Ingredients

Bourbon Chicken

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (cubed)
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp bourbon (optional)
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water

 Garlic Shrimp

  • 1 lb shrimp (peeled & deveined)
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp lemon juice

Fried Rice

  • 3 cups cooked, cold rice
  • 2 eggs (beaten)
  • 1 cup mixed vegetables
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce (optional)
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 tbsp green onions
  • 12 tbsp oil

 

 


Instructions

1. Fried Rice

  • Heat oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat.
  • Add garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  • Push to the side and scramble eggs.
  • Add vegetables, then stir in rice.
  • Mix in soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil.
  • Stir-fry until heated through and slightly crispy.
  • Finish with green onions and set aside.

2. Bourbon Chicken

  • Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Cook chicken until browned and fully cooked.
  • Add garlic, soy sauce, brown sugar, bourbon, Worcestershire, and spices.
  • Simmer for a few minutes.
  • Stir in cornstarch slurry and cook until sauce thickens and becomes glossy.

3. Shrimp

  • Heat butter and oil in a pan.
  • Add garlic, then shrimp.
  • Cook 2–3 minutes per side until pink.
  • Add soy sauce, brown sugar, and lemon juice.
  • Cook briefly until coated and slightly caramelized.

Assembly

 

  • Add fried rice to plate or container
  • Place shrimp on one side
  • Add bourbon chicken on the other
  • Spoon extra sauce over the top
  • Garnish with green onions
