Bourbon Chicken
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (cubed)
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp bourbon (optional)
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- ½ tsp paprika
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1 tsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water
Garlic Shrimp
- 1 lb shrimp (peeled & deveined)
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp oil
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp lemon juice
Fried Rice
- 3 cups cooked, cold rice
- 2 eggs (beaten)
- 1 cup mixed vegetables
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce (optional)
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 2 tbsp green onions
- 1–2 tbsp oil
Instructions
1. Fried Rice
- Heat oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add garlic and sauté until fragrant.
- Push to the side and scramble eggs.
- Add vegetables, then stir in rice.
- Mix in soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil.
- Stir-fry until heated through and slightly crispy.
- Finish with green onions and set aside.
2. Bourbon Chicken
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Cook chicken until browned and fully cooked.
- Add garlic, soy sauce, brown sugar, bourbon, Worcestershire, and spices.
- Simmer for a few minutes.
- Stir in cornstarch slurry and cook until sauce thickens and becomes glossy.
3. Shrimp
- Heat butter and oil in a pan.
- Add garlic, then shrimp.
- Cook 2–3 minutes per side until pink.
- Add soy sauce, brown sugar, and lemon juice.
- Cook briefly until coated and slightly caramelized.
Assembly
- Add fried rice to plate or container
- Place shrimp on one side
- Add bourbon chicken on the other
- Spoon extra sauce over the top
- Garnish with green onions
