Ingredients
- 1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed
- 8–10 slices bacon, halved
- 3 tbsp butter, melted
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp soy sauce (optional)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Toothpicks for securing
Instructions
1. Blanch the green beans
Boil green beans in salted water for 2–3 minutes until bright green. Transfer to ice water, then drain and dry thoroughly.
2. Assemble bundles
Wrap 6–8 green beans with half a slice of bacon and secure with a toothpick.
3. Prepare glaze
Mix melted butter, brown sugar, soy sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
4. Bake
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Place bundles on a baking sheet and brush with glaze. Bake for 25–30 minutes, flipping halfway and basting again.
5. Serve
Let rest for a few minutes, then serve warm.
