- 500 g (1 lb) ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups elbow macaroni (uncooked)
- 2 cups tomato sauce
- 1 can (400 g) diced tomatoes
- 2 cups beef broth or water
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
Instructions
- In a large pot, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add onion and garlic; cook until softened (about 3–4 minutes).
- Stir in tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, broth, and seasonings. Mix well.
- Add uncooked macaroni and stir to combine.
- Cover and simmer on low heat for 15–20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pasta is tender.
- Adjust seasoning, top with cheese if desired, and serve warm.
