Ingredients

  • 500 g (1 lb) ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups elbow macaroni (uncooked)
  • 2 cups tomato sauce
  • 1 can (400 g) diced tomatoes
  • 2 cups beef broth or water
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)

Instructions

  • In a large pot, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  • Add onion and garlic; cook until softened (about 3–4 minutes).
  • Stir in tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, broth, and seasonings. Mix well.
  • Add uncooked macaroni and stir to combine.
  • Cover and simmer on low heat for 15–20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pasta is tender.
  • Adjust seasoning, top with cheese if desired, and serve warm.
