Description

Delicious bite-sized churros made healthier in an air fryer, perfect for snacking or dessert.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar (for coating)
  • Oil spray for air fryer

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine water, butter, and vanilla over medium heat and bring to a boil.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Pour the boiling mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until a dough forms.
  3. Allow the dough to cool for a few minutes, then pipe or mold it into bite-sized pieces.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) and spray the basket with oil.
  5. Place the churro bites in the basket in a single layer, spray the tops with oil, and cook for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
  6. In a shallow dish, combine granulated sugar and cinnamon. Roll the hot churro bites in the mixture to coat.
  7. Serve warm and enjoy!
