Chocolate Mousse Brownies combine rich brownies with light and fluffy chocolate mousse for a perfect balance of flavors and textures.
Ingredients

- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate
- Additional chocolate for ganache
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a square baking dish.
- In a saucepan, melt the butter and sugar together over low heat, stirring until smooth.
- Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- Stir in the eggs one at a time, then mix in the vanilla.
- Add cocoa, flour, salt, and baking powder, and stir until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and bake for about 20-25 minutes.
- For the mousse, whip the heavy cream to stiff peaks. Melt the chocolate and let it cool, then fold it into the whipped cream.
- Once the brownies are cool, spread the mousse over them.
- For ganache, melt chocolate and mix in cream, then pour over the mousse layer.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
Notes
Serve chilled, cut into squares, and consider adding whipped cream or fresh berries for an extra touch.
