Description

Chocolate Mousse Brownies combine rich brownies with light and fluffy chocolate mousse for a perfect balance of flavors and textures.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate
  • Additional chocolate for ganache

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a square baking dish.
  2. In a saucepan, melt the butter and sugar together over low heat, stirring until smooth.
  3. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  4. Stir in the eggs one at a time, then mix in the vanilla.
  5. Add cocoa, flour, salt, and baking powder, and stir until just combined.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and bake for about 20-25 minutes.
  7. For the mousse, whip the heavy cream to stiff peaks. Melt the chocolate and let it cool, then fold it into the whipped cream.
  8. Once the brownies are cool, spread the mousse over them.
  9. For ganache, melt chocolate and mix in cream, then pour over the mousse layer.
  10. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.

Notes

Serve chilled, cut into squares, and consider adding whipped cream or fresh berries for an extra touch.
