- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup dried cranberries
- 1 cup orange zest
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the dried cranberries, orange zest, and nuts if using.
- Drop teaspoonfuls of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.
Notes
Keep cookies fresh in an airtight container for up to one week. For longer storage, freeze them after completely cooling.
