Deliciously thick cookies with crispy edges and gooey centers, reminiscent of bakery-style treats.
Ingredients

- 2 large eggs
- 2½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup packed light brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 cups chocolate chips (mix of semisweet and dark)
- 14 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted and slightly cooled)
- Optional for topping: Extra chocolate chips and flaky sea salt
Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- In another bowl, combine the melted butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix well until smooth.
- Gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture. Be careful not to overmix. Add in the chocolate chips and stir to combine.
- Cover the dough and chill it in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Scoop large balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each cookie.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are golden and the centers look underbaked.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
Notes
Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week or freeze for up to three months.
