Ingredients

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together brown sugar, granulated sugar, and softened butter until smooth.
  3. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla.
  4. In another bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon. Gradually add to the creamed mixture, mixing until just combined.
  5. Drop spoonfuls of the dough onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
  7. Let cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.
  8. Dust with powdered sugar if desired and enjoy!

Best served warm or at room temperature. Store in an airtight container for up to a week, or freeze for up to three months.
