Ingredients
Scale
- 1 can (13.8 oz) refrigerated pizza dough (or homemade bread dough)
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- ½ cup cream cheese, softened
- 6 slices bacon, cooked and chopped
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley (or 1 tsp dried Italian herbs)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 egg + 1 tbsp water (for egg wash)
- Optional: 2 tbsp grated Parmesan for topping
Instructions
Step 1: Cook the Bacon
- Cook bacon until crispy in a skillet or oven.
- Let it cool, then chop it into small pieces. Set aside.
Step 2: Make the Garlic Butter
- In a bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, parsley, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Set aside.
Step 3: Prepare the Dough
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Roll out the pizza dough into a large rectangle (about 10×14 inches) on a floured surface.
Step 4: Assemble the Filling
- Spread softened cream cheese over the dough.
- Sprinkle the mozzarella and chopped bacon evenly on top.
- Drizzle or brush half of the garlic butter mixture over the filling.
Step 5: Roll and Shape
- Roll the dough up tightly, starting from the long edge, to form a log.
- Slice the log lengthwise down the center to expose the filling.
- Twist the two halves together (cut side facing up), then shape into a circle/wreath.
- Carefully transfer it onto a parchment-lined baking sheet and pinch the ends to seal the circle.
Step 6: Add Final Touches
- Brush the wreath with egg wash.
- Spoon the remaining garlic butter over the top.
- Optionally, sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top for extra flavor.
Step 7: Bake
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25–30 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
Step 8: Cool & Serve
- Let the bread cool slightly before slicing or pulling apart.
- Serve with warm marinara, ranch, or garlic dip on the side!
