Description

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 large onion chopped
  • 4 (12 ounce cans) baked beans
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • In a skillet, cook ground beef and onion over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain.
  • In a large bowl, mix together the cooked beef and onions, baked beans, ketchup, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish.
  • Bake uncovered for 1 hour and 15 minutes, or until bubbly and heated through.

Notes

For extra flavor, you can add a bit of cayenne pepper or green bell pepper to the mixture before baking. This will give the beans a subtle spicy kick and additional texture.
